On the blog this month - December

HOW did December a) get here so quickly and b) go so fast? Like, what? There were some points I thought I was in some kind of time warp because I was so not ready for Christmas when it arrived! But, I made it. We made it. We’re on the other side, guys!

This month’s most popular posts

There’s a new favourite in town, guys! Christmas Rocky Road has topped the most visited list this month by quite some margin, which makes me think ya’ll will like the “grown up rocky road” idea I’ve been toying with… In other news: regular rocky road and my Oreo chocolate cupcakes are still popular as ever!

Orphan X* by Gregg Hurwitz. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The plot line reminded me in a vague way of the old TV show, Dark Angel crossed with something like Hitman. There were several plot twists that keep some of the mysteries hidden until right towards the end which I loved. There’s a sequel coming out in January, which I think I’ll probably get on my Kindle.

What’s happening in January?

After the whirlwind that was December, I’m going to try to plan everything a bit more in January. I’ve set up a bit of a bullet journal dedicated solely to my blog and related bits. I have post-its with blog ideas on. I have a little notebook of recipe ideas that I’m slowly actually referring back to, instead of just constantly adding to.

Recipe-wise I know most people tend to want “healthier” recipes in January, after indulging for most of December. I’m no different! So I’ll try to dial back the baking recipes and focus on more nutritional, easy recipes. I’ve got a few breakfast ones planned in, and some Veganuary-related posts too! Are you going to give Veganuary a go? Let me know below or on something like Twitter or Instagram (links below or in the sidebar!).
