Christmas Gift Ideas for Vegans (2017)

Vegan Friendly Christmas Gift Ideas

Stumped about what to buy your vegan friend for Christmas? Or just wanting to get something a little different for a family member? Whatever the reason, looking for gifts at this time of year is usually overwhelming – for me at least. I end up trawling through countless websites, getting decision paralysis, and not buying anything. Sound familiar? I’ve rounded up some vegan-friendly gifts to make finding something, hopefully, that little bit easier.

For tea and coffee lovers

Gourmet Coffees

Let the coffee connoisseur in your life delight in six different deluxe coffees to try with the Deluxe Artisan Coffee Sample Pack, found on Not On The High Street.

Gourmet Teas

Are they more of a tea person? Adagio has everything from Black to Oolong to Green, but I found this ‘Holiday Cheer’ gift pack particularly cute.

Baileys Almande Kahlua Licor 43

There’s a growing range of vegan, and accidentally vegan, spirits and liquors out there these days! My personal favourites are shown above: Baileys Almande (it goes great in these brownies), Licor 43 (try it over ice-cream) and Kahlua (would be great over ice-cream AND in brownies!)

Trinkets and jewellery

Silver Green Jewellery
I came across Silver Green Jewellery at a local ‘vegan fest’ in Manchester in November and loved the simplicity of stamped silver. I ordered my own necklace – a variation of the horizontal “go vegan” one shown below, right after getting back!

Below are some ideas for people for whom the environment is a priority: recycled silver, handmade jewellery! How cute are those dandelion studs?

For the commuters

Pretty much everyone I know has a reusable tea/coffee travel mug for their commute – but how does an eco-friendly one sound? This one is made from rice husks, of all things!

I saw these on eco-friendly hand warmers on Not on the Highstreet and instantly quite wanted a pair of my own, for that first-bite of the cold when first leaving home or the office.

For their home

Would you rather get a gift for their home? Maybe they’re impossible to buy for, or have just got a new place!

The cutest flower pot you’ve ever seen – and I love the saying inscribed on it from Wearth.

Or how about a cosy cushion? I love hummingbirds, so I was drawn to this one at Vegan Haven.

For the ones with a sweet tooth

Booja Booja gourmet selection

I think I recommend the Booja-Booja Gourmet Selection each and every gift-giving-holiday but that’s because they’re brilliant. Little truffles of tasty delight. Upscale chocolates in a range of flavours: rum and raisin, stem ginger, almond & salted caramel, fine de champagne, and hazelnut.

Vegan Town Selection Surprise Box

Having personally received one of these in the past (customised to even not include any hazelnut chocolates, since I’m allergic) I can say that receiving a box of mixed chocolate treats is brilliant – especially when you find something in there that you’ve not tried before!

For the ones that like a bit of pampering

sensitive skin gift set

Who doesn’t love posh toiletries? This sensitive skin care set a rank above the generic ones you can pick up at the shops – the products are made in the UK, handcrafted from natural ingredients and even comes in recyclable packaging.

Lush gift boxes

Another ‘old faithful’ recommendation: Lush gift boxes. They come in a range of prices – some for just £10, others for over £50 (and £100!) so they suit many budgets. Not all of their products are vegan, however, so make sure you check before you buy. If you go into a store, the staff are usually very knowledgeable (and the products are labelled).

* some of the companies mentioned have previously sent me their products to review, but are only mentioned because I genuinely think they make fabulous gift ideas
