My Top Picks for Vegan Easter Eggs (2019)

My Top Picks for Vegan Easter Eggs for 2019

Can you believe that four years have passed since my original vegan Easter eggs post, back in 2015? A lot has changed since then! Never mind my own personal life – the vegan world has gotten much, much bigger. I can buy a vegan sausage roll from Greggs. I can buy a pizza with vegan cheese from Papa Johns. I can buy vegan protein cookies from My Protein. So, are you really surprised that there are more vegan Easter eggs to choose from than ever before?

I split my last post primarily by cost and chocolate type – and I stand by that. Who doesn’t use prices as an indicator for their vegan easter egg guide? And if you don’t, I bet you use dark/white/milk as a guide. So: here we go – here are my top picks for vegan-friendly Easter eggs in 2019 (Dear husband: hint, any of these will do!)

Vegan Creme Eggs

I used to get quite jealous of folk with their creme eggs because finding a vegan alternative seemed impossible, but over the last few years, it’s started to get easier and easier. Annoyingly, there doesn’t seem to be a consistent maker, or perhaps a consistent retailer, that always stocks the same ones, but this year I’ve found these vegan creme eggs:

Milk Chocolate Vegan Easter Eggs

So, granted, you’re not going to find a vegan Easter egg for a quid. But, should you be able to? Probably a different topic of conversation. However, you can find vegan ‘milk’ chocolate eggs that won’t break the bank – supermarkets like Tesco and Sainsbury’s are a good bet if you need to get one quickly, and a lot of places sell Moo Free these days: I’ve spotted them in Aldi and Holland and Barrett.

Dark Chocolate Vegan Easter Eggs

We’ve developed a dark chocolate addiction in our house, lately. We seriously get through about 2-3 bars of the stuff a week! We’ll get that under control… when the babies sleep more. Hah. In the meantime, I had a lot of fun looking around for tasty looking dark chocolate, vegan-friendly, delights.
